Mission:Strike Debt advocates a just and sustainable economy, based on common goods, mutual aid, and public affluence. |
Strike Debt Portland builds a movement of people who realize that debt is out of control for many of us. We resist all forms of oppressive debt and demand economic alternatives that benefit the common good. Strike Debt is committed to solidarity between and the emancipation of all debtors. We work to redefine “debt” so that our societal debt obligations are largely to our friends, our families, our communities and our civic values, not to the banks or the 1%.
All debtors of all backgrounds and colors and immigrants who are interested in their collective economic liberation are welcome! Check other pages on this web site for our Scholarship fund, news and articles on your debt solutions! Our newest scholarship went to help end homelessness. Read about it under the heading above SCHOLARSHIPS. We are part of the national Debt Collective movement. (http://debtcollective.org) |
